The #50 Ferrari 499P was disqualified from the 2025 Le Mans 24 Hours due to rear wing technical regulation violations. The car, driven by Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina, and Nicklas Nielsen, finished fourth overall but was found to have missing bolts and excessive deflection.
Ferrari acknowledged the non-compliance with the rules but argued that there was no performance gain. However, stewards noted that the car achieved its highest top speed with reduced drag, indicating a performance advantage.
The absence of a bolt was noticed by a Ferrari mechanic close to the end of the race, but no corrective action was taken. Stewards emphasized the potential hazard of the rear wing support assembly’s irregularity under high-speed stress.
The disqualification elevated the #12 Cadillac to fourth place and posed a significant setback to the #50 crew’s World Endurance Championship title bid, now 48 points behind the sister #51 car in the standings.
